General Mixing Recommendations
Central Mixing Plant
- Fibres should be introduced directly into the fresh concrete, preferably at the end of the mixing cycle
- Fibres should never be added as the first component
In the Truck Mixer / Site Mixer
- Mixing speed should be set at maximum (around 15 rpm) before adding the fibres
- Concrete slump should be approximately 100 mm, adjusted using plasticisers
- Add the fibres gradually at a rate of approximately 2 kg per minute
- Once the fibres have been added, continue to mix at maximum speed for a period of one minute
- For small site mixers, adjust the dosage pro-rata

- 0.6 kg per cubic metre
